Under the directive of the Director General and Inspector General of Police, Jharkhand, Ranchi, Bokaro district police conducted the 'Public Grievance Redressal Program' on December 18, 2024, to address citizen grievances effectively which was inaugurated by DDC Bokaro Girija Shankar Prasad and SP Bokaro Manoj Swargiary including other senior officials. The initiative focused on resolving complaints related to crime, disputes, and public dissatisfaction with law enforcement.
The event was held across four locations in Bokaro: IIT-IOE Campus (Pindrajora), DIOCE-II P.S. High School (Chandrapura), Middle School (Marafari), and Sector-2 B Club (Bokaro). Notably a total of 187 grievances were received, of which 62 were resolved on the spot.
The program was supported by officials from DLSA and other departments who provided legal guidance and assistance to participants. Matters including women’s issues, cyber crimes, theft, and property disputes were addressed.
The Bokaro police emphasized their commitment to bridging gaps between law enforcement and citizens. Residents were also encouraged to submit grievances via the helpline (9470974322) or email at ld-jansikayat-bokaro@jhpolice.gov.in for timely resolution.
