BJP leaders’ visit to State will remain useless for polls: JMM

Friday, 13 September 2024 | PNS | Ranchi

Taking dig at Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)’s Leader tour to State, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), on Thursday, said that their visit will prove useless in Jharkhand as the people of the State will take out their last journey in upcoming State Assembly elections.

Addressing a press meet, JMM General Secretary and Spokesperson Supriyo Bhattacharya said that next week will start with Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi's Jharkhand tour. “He is coming to Jharkhand on September 15. It was also learned that he will also give many gifts to Jharkhand. After this, President Draupadi Murmu will visit the State. She has been the Governor of the State for the longest time. During her tenure, some such steps were taken for the tribals and natives of the state, due to which the people here taught a lesson to the BJP Government in the year 2019. At the same time, Home Minister Amit Shah is also coming to Jharkhand on September 21. The visit of these three is happening at a time when the Government here, the Chief Minister Hemant Soren, the administrative officers here are going to the doorsteps of the tribals and natives to solve their problems. Our workers are in touch with the people,” he added.

Bhattacharya further said, according to the information, many State heads will also come to Jharkhand on September 21. “Many Central Ministers will come here. It seems that the entire Modi cabinet will sit here till the elections. No matter how many trips BJP leaders make to Jharkhand, the people of Jharkhand will take out their last journey in December. Whenever the elections are held, the last journey of BJP is certain. If there has been infiltration, then the Home Ministry, Ministry of External Affairs and Ministry of Defense of the Center are directly responsible for this because the matter of border security is their responsibility,” he added.

JMM General Secretary said, in recent times, former Chief Minister Champai Soren also joined BJP. “Champai Soren has been one of those leaders who have been raising the ideology of JMM prominently. One of our commitments is to implement the Sarna Dharma Code. It will be a great occasion, right after Karma Puja, when Champai Soren will be present on the stage with PM Modi. So he can ask the PM to take initiative towards implementing a separate Sarna Dharma Code. It will be a great occasion when Champai Soren gets PM Modi to announce that when the caste census will be held in 2025, the Sarna Dharma census will also be conducted along with it. It is also the responsibility of the PM that he will definitely respect the sentiment of the leader with whom he will be on the stage, that is Champai Soren,” he added.

Bhattacharya further said, the Home Minister will also come to Jharkhand on September 21. The work of conducting the census is to be done by his Ministry. Champai can also raise this issue in front of Amit Shah at that time. The final seal on the separate Sarna Dharma Code will be given by the President, who herself belongs to the Sarna religion who believes in Baha, Sarhul, Karma Sohrai, everything. She is a worshipper of Jaher Than, Lugu Buru, Marang Buru. Her stay in Jharkhand at this time will also give his approval to this proposal,” he added.

The JMM Spokesperson said that the PM is going to give big gifts to Jharkhand. He will give a gift of Rs 21,000 crores to Jharkhand. “So Jharkhand's dues of Rs 1, 36, 000 crores to the center will also be given to Jharkhand. The PM should also announce this on September 15th. Otherwise, it will be considered that Jharkhand has been cheated again. Our rights and privileges will be killed. The identity of the tribals and natives will be compromised. PM Modi will have to say that he also respects what Jharkhand wants. We are not people from outside this Country. We are the people who give the most to this Country,” he added.
