Ahead of the Delhi assembly elections 2025, the Delhi BJP has organized 1,812 Nukkad Sabhas in one week to take its party’s electoral narrative to the masses and highlight the failures of AAP Convenor and former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s government in every street of the city.
Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva on Tuesday said that while traditionally the BJP organizes public meetings after formal announcements of elections and candidates, there is a new enthusiasm among the people of Delhi and BJP workers to uproot Arvind Kejriwal’s inefficient and corrupt government.
“This enthusiasm has encouraged us to kick-start the election campaign with Nukkad Sabhas as soon as the election environment began,” he said. Sachdeva mentioned that in every election, political parties set their narrative, and in this initial phase, BJP is highlighting the basic failures of the Kejriwal government.
He said, “Under the leadership of the former Delhi BJP President Satish Upadhyay, the Nukkad Sabha committee is ensuring that the BJP’s election narrative reaches every citizen.” The Nukkad Sabha committee along with a team of 15 workers, organizes Sabhas daily at the Shakti Kendra level, targeting every three to four polling booths. “Almost every day, at least one Nukkad Sabha is held at the municipal ward level across Delhi,” Upadhyay stated.
He stated that between December 11 and December 17, BJP has conducted 1812 Nukkad Sabhas, through which the failures of the Arvind Kejriwal government have been highlighted at the grassroots level across neighborhoods.
He further explained that the party’s election narrative department studies public expectations daily through surveys and social media. “Today, people are completely frustrated due to stalled development, pollution, weak healthcare and education systems, waterlogging, and drinking water crises,” the former Delhi BJP chief said.
According to Upadhyay, BJP leaders, including national office bearers, MPs, MLAs, and district officials, raise local issues through Nukkad Sabhas while linking them to Arvind Kejriwal’s luxurious palace corruption and presenting the facts to the public.
