Nazirabad police have booked a youth who was involved in sexually assaulting a BHMS girl student, police have started search for the accused.

The  victim was friends with a young man who studied with her in school. The accused called the victim on the pretext of meeting. Thereafter, he lured her with a tour. He took the girl to a hotel room and forced her to have sex. When the victim protested, the accused lured her into marrying.

After this, he took her to different places and had sex with her several times. Later, the accused  refused to marry her after which the victim reached the Mahila police station and lodged an FIR. At present, the accused youth has not been arrested.

According to the information received from the police station, the 23-year-old girl is studying BHMS from a private college. A young man named Prafull Meena is her school friend. He hails from Narmadapuram and lives on rent in Patel Nagar area. He came to Bhopal to do an ITI course. Here, the friendship of both continued. Recently, the young man took the girl to a hotel on the pretext of a tour. Here he had physical relations with the victim.

After committing the crime, he lured the girl into marriage. A few days later, when the student pressured him to marry her, he refused to marry her. When he did not agree even after repeated requests, the student complained about the matter to the police station. The police have registered a case of rape and started investigation.

Nazirabad police said that the 16-year-old girl lives in a village in Nazirabad police station area. On September 9, at around 2 pm, she was going to the hand pump to fill water. During this time, a youth named Sandeep called her inside the house on the pretext of work and raped her forcibly.

After that, he threatened to kill her if she told anyone. The scared girl did not inform anyone about the incident for three days. On Thursday, she told her family, after which the family took her to the police station. Police have registered a case against the accused under various sections including rape and POCSO Act.
