Berasia police arrested a youth after activists of Hindu organisation protested at Berasia police station; accused used to harass a class 11 student for several days by sending her obscene messages.

The accused used to threaten to defame her by making her morphed video viral if she refused to  talk to him. The victim informed her family, and they reached the police station.

During this time, when the police delayed in registering the complaint, activists of Hindu organizations gathered at the police station. They raised slogans outside the police station. After which the police immediately registered a case and took the accused into custody. After this, the protest that lasted for about two hours ended.

According to SDOP Anand Kaladangi, the 17-year-old victim is a resident of a village in Berasia police station area. Arman Mansuri, a resident of the same police station area, used to send obscene messages to minors on Facebook and Instagram. He used to follow the victim on social media platforms and make lewd comments, he used to pressurise her to talk.

If the girl refused to talk or did not reply, he threatened to make her morphed photo viral on social media. Fed up with this, the girl informed her family. The father took her to the police station on Wednesday. On his complaint, a case has been registered and investigation has been started.

Meanwhile habitual criminal Zubair alias Maulana has demanded Rs 1 lakh from a dairy operator, when the victim refused to give money the accused entered the shop and assaulted the businessman.

Earlier, the accused had called the businessman Imran Khan and threatened him and asked to give Rs 1 lakh and continue business peacefully and failing to shed money and threatening to file a case against him would only result in opening fire at him.

The police have registered a case on the businessman's complaint and started an investigation. At present, the accused has not been arrested.
