The team of Archaeological Survey of India under the leadership of Dr. Krarabi Saha surveyed the historical ancient Khakhaparata Shiva temple complex. Academician cum Head of the Department of Chemistry, Baldev Sahu College, Dr. Shashi Kumar Gupta was present in the program as the chief guest. Officers and employees of the Archaeological Survey of India were also present on the spot.
An exhibition of photographs was set up in the memorial complex. In which the focus was on World Heritage Monuments in India and Centrally Protected Monuments of Jharkhand, which was inaugurated by Chief Guest Dr. Shashi Kumar Gupta. On the occasion, the brochure of known monuments of Gumla district was also released by the chief guest and superintendent archaeologist of Archaeological Survey of India, Dr. Karrabi Saha.
On this occasion, a painting competition was also organized in which students of Government Middle School, Bagha KKM School and students of Primary School, Khakhparata and Gurukul Bharatiya Vidyalaya, Lohardaga participated. On the occasion, the visiting guests and officials of the Survey of India team discussed in detail the ancient monuments of Jharkhand and explained their importance. Also the future ones were made aware about their culture. The Chairman of the Survey Board said that the photo exhibition will continue in the memorial complex till 25 November 2024. Through which people will become aware of their historical heritage and cultural heritage.
