The Jharkhand High Court (HC) has directed the State Government to appoint the Chairman of Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) soon.
A writ petition related to the appointment of JPSC chairman filed by Pawan Kumar was heard in the Jharkhand High Court on Wednesday. This hearing took place in the bench of Justice SN Pathak.
During the hearing, Jharkhand High Court Advocate Amritansh Vats said that the post of JPSC Chairman has been lying vacant since August 22, due to which the result and process of many examinations are disrupted.
A writ petition was filed by a candidate regarding this matter. On the very first hearing of the petition, the court directed the Government and the Advocate of JPSC to appoint the Chairman as soon as possible.
The court said that even though such a popular Government has been formed, why is there so much delay in the appointment of a Chairman while the posts of DGP and other posts are being filled immediately.
The court has said that this matter is related to the policy but this matter is also related to the future of thousands of children, therefore the Government should take it seriously and appoint the Chairman as soon as possible.
