AIIMS Bhopal's AYUSH department organized a health camp at Nandora village, Raisen district.
The initiative was led under the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Ajai Singh, Executive Director of AIIMS Bhopal, who is a strong advocate for expanding healthcare services to underserved populations. As part of the health camp, a special yoga session was conducted for the students of the Government Higher Secondary School in Nandora, where both students and teachers actively participated. A total of 50 students and teachers were part of this session.
The health camp continued from morning to evening, offering various health checks and yoga sessions. The camp began with a yoga session led by AIIMS yoga experts, who taught participants several asanas, including Tadasana, Vrikshasana, and Pranayama. The experts also emphasized the importance of a balanced diet and physical activity, encouraging children and adults alike to stay away from junk food and unhealthy habits. The camp featured free consultations on AYUSH, along with the distribution of free medicines to patients. Additionally, an awareness program was held to provide comprehensive health solutions to the community. Many attendees, who had chronic health issues such as arthritis, anxiety, and high blood pressure, showed significant improvement and expressed their gratitude.
Prof. Singh praised the efforts of the AYUSH department in organizing the health camp.
He emphasized the importance of outreach activities like these, which help extend healthcare access and improve outcomes, empowering individuals to lead healthier lives.
