AAP supremo Kejriwal’s popularity on decline, claims BJP

Sunday, 03 November 2024 | Staff Reporter | New Delhi

BJP spokesperson Praveen Shankar Kapoor on Saturday said that AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal’s popularity is on decline which can be corroborated from the fact that the Delhi’s ruling party has now started covering the program organiser’s backdrop with their party’s banner to make it appear that the crowd is there for them.

Delhi BJP said that in an event organized by transporters in Badli in north west Delhi where a large crowd had gathered to enjoy a performance by popular folk singer Anjali Raghav with a corporate firm banner displayed as the sponsor backdrop.

“People were enjoying the program when suddenly an announcement was made that former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was about to arrive. Shortly after the announcement, two or three AAP workers stood up and placed an AAP banner over the corporate backdrop, while the performance continued,” Kapoor said.

The Delhi BJP spokesperson stated that the crowd at the transporters’ event in Badli had come to watch Anjali Raghav’s performance, but Kejriwal, in his desperation, turned the stage into an Aam Aadmi Party’s Vishwakarma Day event by putting up his party’s banner.

Kapoor further said that multiple video clips of this event are publicly available, and the people of Delhi want to know from Arvind Kejriwal why he engaged in such a petty act by putting up his party’s banner over the organizer’s board.
