As many as 119 free cataract surgeries were performed on 119th birth anniversary of Sant Hirdaram Sahib on Saturday at Sewa Sadan Eye Hospital. Of these, 64 patients were from Bhopal city, 16 from Shajapur and 39 patients from Kalapipal. In view to identify cataract patients, two camps were organized at Shajapur and Kalapipal on September 20, while Bhopal patients were registered over on telephone. This camp was organized with the help of Dubai based philanthropist Mrs. Neelu and Bhagwan Shivlani.
On the birthday of Sant, a large number of visitors also gathered at Santji's Kutia today. An eye donation counter was also set up there by Sewa Sadan Eye Hospital. 42 persons filled their pledge forms for eye donation after death.
The camp was inaugurated by the doctors and officials of Sewa Sadan by worshipping Santji and other deities.
Later all the doctors started operating the patients and succeeded in achieving the target. On this occasion, Managing Trustee AC Sadhwani, Trustees Tulsi Adwani, Rajkumar Moolchandani, Sant Sevak L.C. Janiyani, Dr. Prerna Upadhyay and other doctors were mainly present.
