In a shocking incident, one person was found dead and three others were hospitalized as fire broke out in a house in Noida’s sector 27. The deceased has been identified as Shweta Singh. According to the Noida police, a severe fire erupted in a house of Sector 27, Noida and Shweta was trapped in the floor as the fire engulfed the entire floor. The rescue operations were immediately started as three fire engines were immediately pressed into service and managed to bring the flames under control.
DCP Ram Badan Singh reported that the fire department and local police rushed to the scene after receiving an alert about a cylinder explosion. By the time they arrived, the fire had spread across the four-story building. Firefighters worked to contain the flames and rescue the trapped individuals.
During the rescue operation, the fire personnel revealed that two women residing in the second floor had fallen unconscious due to thick smoke. They were immediately rushed to the hospital, where their condition is stated to stable.
Rekha Devi, who lives on the first floor, shared that she got a call from her son about the fire which started from the electricity board. After jumping from the first floor, she managed to escape with her son. Both are safe as authorities continue to investigate the incident.
“'' The woman living on the first floor said that she had gone to the market at the time of the incident. She was informed about the fire on the board by her son. During investigation, it was found that there was a fire on the board which was caused by some firecrackers kept in the house.
After the fire was extinguished, a search operation was conducted in the entire house and two women living on the second floor were found unconscious due to smoke, who were admitted to the hospital. People living on the first floor are safe. Sector-20 Police is investigating and taking further action,'' Statement of Noida Police read.
