The 6th International Conference on Sustainability Education (ICSE) was organised by the Mobius Foundation in collaboration with prominent global partners, concluded successfully with a resounding call to integrate sustainability into educational curriculums.
Held over two days, the conference drew more than 500 experts, educators, policymakers, and environmentalists from over 20 countries, focusing on the theme "Greening Education for a Sustainable Future."
The discussions emphasised the growing need for sustainability to be a core part of education, promoting eco-conscious living and sustainable lifestyles.
A significant takeaway from the event was the endorsement of India's National Education Policy 2020 and the National Curriculum Framework 2023.
They both seen as crucial frameworks for advancing sustainable education.
This year's ICSE also highlighted the importance of 'green education' and 'green jobs' as key components of future sustainability efforts both in India and globally.
Since its launch in 2019, ICSE has become a vital platform for addressing sustainability challenges within education systems worldwide.
