CMPDI organized a one-day workshop on "Gender Sensitization & PoSH Awareness" on Friday at its headquarters, Ranchi. The objective of the Workshop is to create awareness about gender issues among employees and work towards creating an enabling environment of gender justice where men and women work together with a sense of personal security and dignity and also gain a better understanding of each other’s needs and interests.
Prof. (Dr) Raman Ballabh, master trainer for PoSH, Senior Resource Person, Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (Ministry of Corporate Affairs), CDSL, Bombay Stock Exchange, NISM, Expert through a presentation explained different provisions and articles of PoSH Act and their implications, what actions constitute Sexual Harassment, what comes under fake complaints, how to make the Proper use of law, prohibit misuse of law to avoid legal complications, how to establish a transparent reporting and response process, etc., so that, it can be our commitment to create a culture of respect and zero tolerance for harassment, which can make our workplace a safer and more inclusive place for all employees. It can pave the way towards diversity and equality in our workplace.
The workshop was attended by around 50 participants with equal participation of male and female employees.
