Vande Bharat Exp to run from Ranchi to Howrah soon

Good news for rail passengers of the State, Vande Bharat Express Train will run from Howrah to Ranchi soon. The train will complete the journey in five hours. The Rail Ministry is planning to run Train-18 in 40 different routes of the Country, in which Ranchi-Howrah is also included. However, no official announcement has been made for this yet.

The Ministry of Railways had sent a proposal to the South Eastern Railway (SER) Headquarters. From the headquarters to Ranchi Rail Division and the Ministry of Railways is engaged in preparation.

Till now 7 such trains are running in the Country. The first Vande Bharat train was run from Delhi to Varanasi in July 2019. The first Vande Bharat Express of the new generation was run between Mumbai and Ahmedabad last year.  This train has started running on many routes of the country. It will have many facilities.

The train will depart from Ranchi in the evening and from Howrah in morning. After Howrah it will stop at Durgapur, Asansol, Dhanbad, Chandrapura, Bokaro, Muri then it will reach Ranchi. The highest speed of the train will be between 130 km to 150 km.

There is no definite information about fare from Ranchi to Howrah of the train but it will be around Rs 300 higher than the Shatabdi Express. Shatabdi Express takes more than seven hour to reach Ranchi from Howrah.

There will be a charging point beneath every seat of the passengers. Apart from this WiFi system, GPS based passenger information system, vacuum toilet, red line beneath the seats and wheelchair for specially challenged people.

Vande Bharat Express train is an engine-less electric run train. Completely air conditioned coaches and equipped with modern technologies. There will be a chair car for the passengers in the train. The door of the train will function automatically like metro trains. The engine will be attached on both the sides of the train.
