The KIIT University on Tuesday signed an MoU with the National Building Constructions Corporation (NBCC) to impart skill-based programmes to the students of both KIIT and KISS and make them industry-ready.
The function was attended by KIIT-KISS founder Dr Achyuta Samanta and NBCC GM HR Debasis Satapathy. Skill development and industry-oriented internship training would be provided to KIIT and KISS students with a focus on SC/ST and students from the financially weaker section.
Satapathy said that under the skilling initiative, KIIT and KISS students can also visit NBCC project sites for exposure.
The NBCC also signed an MoU with the Kandhamal district administration for construction and renovation of CHCs. Kandhamal MP Dr Samanta said the district has shown phenomenal developments in different socioeconomic parameters and stands 9th among the aspirational districts in the country.
