The Crime Branch of Bhopal have taken action against liquor smugglers and arrested 12 liquor smugglers in the last 48 hours from different areas of the city and 339.27 liters of illegally transported and sold liquor has been seized from the possession of the accused.

The price of the seized liquor is around Rs 3.50 lakh. Additional DCP Shailendra Singh Chauhan said that the Crime Branch campaign against liquor smugglers will continue.

During the action bootleggers from different areas were caught carrying liquor illegally.

The nabbed accused were identified as Sanjay Tiwari(40) and Rao (48) of Barkheda of Barkheda near Nehru Market who works as labourer and has been booked for 5 crimes he was carrying 24.93 liters of liquor and 14.70 liters of country made liquor.

Dashrath Masle(46) of  Anna Nagar was nabbed and 9 liters of country liquor was seized from his possession.

Among the other accused Pappu alias Rehman Ali (54) of Rahul Nagar  Bairagarh, works as a labourer and 18 liters of country made liquor was seized from his possession.

Kamlesh alias Mosiya( 50) of Katara Hills and Arun Ahire(28) of Panchsheel Nagar were nabbed and a total of 111 litres of liquor was seized from their possession.

Ajay Londe (32) of Panchsheel Nagar and Sandeep Patel(35) of Anna Nagar were seized with 72 liters of liquor.

In the same manner Vijay Rai,Deepak alias Kallu Kuchhabadia,

Roop Singh Kushwaha, Mukesh Gondane were also arrested with illegally transported liquor.  A total of 339 litres have been seized.
