The digital crop survey in Uttar Pradesh is advancing at an impressive pace. There has been significant progress in the crop survey programmes being carried out in 10 revenue villages within each of the 54 districts.
The state government has set a deadline for the completion of this survey work in all 54 districts by September 25.
Currently, in five of these districts, 100 per cent of the survey has been completed. Furthermore, in 21 districts, over 90 per cent of the survey work has been successfully completed. In 13 districts, 70 per cent to 90 per cent of the survey work has been completed while another 13 districts have achieved 50 per cent to 70 per cent % of the target.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has expressed dissatisfaction with the slow progress in two districts. Their district magistrates have received strict directives to expedite the survey process.
Through mobile app, employees of Agriculture and other departments are preparing records of crops grown in the fields. The government is preparing complete data of the crops being grown in the state. The crop data obtained through the survey will greatly facilitate planning for the farmers of the state.
Digital crop survey is an initiative to open a new path to prosperity in the lives of farmers.
Each surveyor engaged in survey work has been given a target of surveying 50 plots every day, which will be monitored by the district magistrate. A total of 5,764 surveyors have been deployed for this work in the entire state, of which 1,437 are from Agriculture department, 2,733 from Revenue department and 1,594 are panchayat assistants. They have to conduct a digital crop survey of more than 1.19 crore agricultural plots in 27,641 villages of the state.
As per the updated figures, 100 per cent of the survey work has been completed in Baghpat, Azamgarh, Amroha, Balrampur and Gonda.
More than 90 per cent survey work has been done in Ghazipur, Ambedkar Nagar, Sonbhadra, Ballia, Muzaffarnagar, Fatehpur, Aligarh, Agra, Hathras, Bareilly, Lalitpur, Meerut, Bulandshahr, Firozabad, Amethi, Saharanpur, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Shravasti, Rae Bareli and Maharajganj districts.
About 70 to 90 per cent of the survey work has been completed in Banda, Ghaziabad, Shahjahanpur, Kanpur Nagar, Rampur, Siddharthnagar, Unnao, Budaun, Sambhal, Shamli, Lucknow, Bahraich, and Kushinagar.
In Pilibhit, Bijnor, Mau, Etawah, Mathura, Kannauj, Prayagraj, Mainpuri, Etah, Kasganj, Kanpur Dehat, Sitapur and Lakhimpur Kheri, 50-70 per cent of the work has been completed.
In only two districts –Hapur and Barabanki – less than 50 per cent of the survey work has been done.
