On the occasion of World Tourism Day, Saroda Dadar village in Chhattisgarh was honoured in the silver category under the Best Tourism Village competition at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi.
An official communiqué on Friday said Chhattisgarh is an excellent attraction for tourists with picturesque destinations, tourism innovation and tourism activities.
Chhattisgarh also plays a significant role in developing rural, sustainable and responsible tourism.
Dr. Shubhada Chaturvedi, Nodal Officer, Rural Tourism, and Mangal Singh Dhurve, Saroda Dadar Village, received the award on behalf of Chhattisgarh Tourism.
Also present were Kumud Mishra and Krishna Keva, an associate of Saroda village's Best Tourism Village Project.
