Based on a written complaint of a farmer on seizure of his land, the Bilaspur district Collector in Chhattisgarh on Sunday ordered an investigation.
Umendra Sahu of Mopka wrote to the Collector that nearby land holders Sheru Aslam and Mohsin Khan had taken over his land, an official communication said.
Sahu’s complaint stated that his land (Khasra 1,357) mud boundary was levelled and merged. The two men threatened him, claiming it was their land and flaunted their alleged political clout.
The Collector asked Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Bilaspur to take cognizance of the complaint. The SDM issued a restraining order to maintain status quo under Section 145 CrPC.
He has called both the parties on June 28 along with their documents.
A video of Umendra Sahu has gone viral after he lodged the complaint.
