The Crime Branch took action against illegal shops of firecrackers in the Bairagarh area and seized firecrackers worth Rs 10 lakh; no valid documents were found with the shop owner.
Crime Branch Bhopal was informed by an informer that a person named Sanjay Soni, who runs Soni Firecracker near Halalpura, was selling fireworks in a residential area without valid documents by renting two shops in Dev Traders on Bam Bam Bhole Road.
Firecrackers were kept due to which any accident could happen. Senior officers were informed about the above information and Naib Tehsildar Rajesh Gautam Bairagarh was informed about the information.
Later, Naib Tehsildar Chanchal came to the intersection and took them along to the place told by the informer which was near the shops and found it locked and a person was standing in front of the shops, from whom when inquired about the shops, he told that both the shops were his own.
The person was Sanjay Soni of Sarvodaya Colony, Bairagarh, Bhopal and after informing him about the information, Sanjay Soni got the locks of the said shops opened in front of Naib Tehsildar Rajesh Gautam, then boxes of fireworks and firecrackers were found kept in both the shops. When Sanjay Soni was interrogated by Naib Tehsildar Saheb in this regard, Sanjay Soni told that there were about 450 boxes of fireworks and firecrackers in the shops, the total value of which was said to be around Rs 10 lakh and the goods were said to be his own.
Soni was asked to present valid documents regarding keeping the firecrackers in the shops, which were not presented by Sanjay Soni, after which the said shops were locked and sealed by the Naib Tehsildar Saheb after which the goods were seized.
