Chhattisgarh Police on Thursday seized a huge cache of cannabis from a truck valued at Rs 2.58 crore here.
This followed a tip that 517 kg of contraband was being transported to New Delhi from Odisha via National Highway 53, Mahasamund Superintendent of Police Dharmendra Singh told The Pioneer.
The police found the truck without a driver parked near an eatery in Pithora area.
The drugs, stuffed in 18 gunny bags, were hidden under 295 bags of broken rice (khanda).
Efforts are on to nab those involved in the crime.
