A total of 28 children of the district will get the benefit of the sponsorship care scheme. Under the scheme money will be paid at the rate of Rs 4,000 per month per child. The rate of Rs.12,000 will be given as the first quarterly advance per child.
It was decided in the meeting of the committee under the revised Mission Vatsalya Yojana under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Co-Chairman Sponsorship Foster Care Approval Committee Rahul Kumar Sinha on Saturday. Member Secretary, District Child Protection Officer, Ranchi and other members of the committee were present in the meeting. According to the Sponsorship Care Scheme (Sponsorship) Guidelines 2018, in the financial year 2023-24, in view of the equal treatment of children eligible for care and protection, the Child Welfare Committee declared 28 children as CNCP to give the benefit of the scheme.
Under the resolution issued by the Women Child Development and Social Security Department, in the light of the Sponsorship Care Scheme (Sponsorship) Guidelines 2018, children (boys or girls) below 18 years of age whose annual family income is up to Rs 75000. The child has died, the child has been abandoned by the parent, who is living in the care of the relative, such a child whose parent is suffering from any serious illness, including HIV, AIDS, leprosy and 100 per cent disability. Children affected by child marriage, child labor, child trafficking or other abuse who are in need of rehabilitation, whether or both parents are in prison, to take care of their nutritional, educational, medical and developmental needs with a view to improving their quality of life. There is a provision to provide supplementary assistance to his family for fulfillment.
