The Sehore campus of Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) Bhopal is becoming increasingly controversial. A few days ago there was a dispute in the university campus regarding Hanuman Chalisa recital in group. Students were fined for reading Hanuman Chalisa in the campus. After this there was a tussle between the government and the university.
In a latest development, a student of M.Tech studying in this university has committed suicide by hanging on Wednesday evening. Police is investigating the matter.
MTech second year student Naitik Anand, son of Nagendra Prasad, age 21 committed suicide by hanging himself in his room in hostel of VIT University. In the preliminary investigation of the police, it has come to the fore that the student used to live under stress. He was in his second year now. Naitik Anand is from Siwan in Bihar.
According to the information, he returned to his hostel room number 222 on Wednesday after taking the examination at noon. When his room partner came and knocked on the door, the door did not open . After this he informed the supervisor. When the supervisor and the guard broke the door, the student was found hanging from the rope inside.
Police said that in the preliminary investigation, it could not be ascertained why Naitik took such a drastic step. In the preliminary investigation, it has definitely been found that he used to live under stress. Naitik’s friend told the police that his three papers did not go well. That is why he used to get upset and talk like committing suicide.
Information about getting a suicide note from Naitik has also come to the fore. However, what is written in the suicide note is not known. SP Mayank Awasthi also reached VIT after getting information about the incident. Police have registered a case and started investigation.
