The three-day Odisha Travel Bazar 2022 organised by the State Tourism Department and FICCI concluded on Sunday here with tour operators visiting places like Bhubaneswar, Konark, Puri, Chilika, Dhauli, Bhitarkanika and Lalitgiri as part of familiarisation (FAM) trips.
Many of the popular tour operators of India and abroad are keen to forge alliance with local players in tourism, travel and hospitality sector, which was evident from a record number of 3,377 buyer-seller meetings organised on the day.
The meetings continued day-long as tour operators discussed many aspects of their possible alliance. Some of them are planning to sign agreements with local players very soon. Many are hopeful and quite excited about the opportunity available in Odisha, said sources.
B2G meeting with investors and airlines also organised. Sellers are also participated and exhibit their products in the exhibition. About 22 Foreign Tour Operators from countries like Bangladesh, Indonesia, Malaysia, Nepal, Singapore, Tanzania, Thailand, Vietnam and 83 buyers from cities like Aurangabad, Bangalore, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Chandrapur, Chennai, Dehradun, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kochi, Kolkata, Ludhiana, Mangalgiri, Mumbai, Nagpur, Nasik, New Delhi and NCR, Panjim, Pune, Raipur, Rohtak, Siliguri, Surendra Nagar, Trivendrum, Varanasi and Visakhapatnam participated in the event.
