After seven months of the announcement of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan in the cabinet meeting, finally the process of changing the name of Professional Examination Board (MPPEB) has been completed. Now the Professional Examination Board will be known as Madhya Pradesh Staff Selection Board (MPESB).
On Wednesday, new names were fixed on the board including the building by the employees. Before this, the old name of Professional Examination Board used to be Vyapam. Vyapam was renamed as Professional Examination Board after the discrepancies in the Professional Examination Board came to light. Now its name has been changed again. Now Professional Examination Board will be known as Madhya Pradesh Staff Selection Board. Vyapam scam emerged as the biggest scam of the state.
Along with changing the name of Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board, its department has also been changed.
Now its operation has been entrusted to the General Administration Department as the nodal department. This department will be directly with CM Shivraj. Along with this, Minister of State Inder Singh Parmar has also been included in this.
The name change proposal was prepared by the state government after the Vyapam scam came to light. The proposal to change the name was shelved in view of the improvement in the system. Last year, there was a huge discrepancy in the Agriculture Extension Officer and Senior Agriculture Development Officer examination conducted by the Professional Examination Board. Due to which the exam had to be cancelled.
In the investigation, the examination agency was considered as the accused. In such a situation, it was started again after many cases came to the fore. Finally now the name of Professional Examination Board has been changed.
