The Moonidih coal mines under Western Jharia area of BCCL has broken
twenty five years coal production record with producing 593691
tonnes of coal in a year ending on March 31/22 .Besides, it also has
broken the monthly production record by producing 93550 tonnes of coal
in the month of March this year.
Area general manager JS Mahapatra while giving details said, "By this
we have broken the previous record of production of 5.75 lakh tones of
coal that was set twenty years ago".
On March 31 yet another record of producing 4500 tonnes of coal in a
day too was set up, he added.
The annual dispatch rate too has witnessed a growth with dispatch of
575798 tonnes of produced coal by different sources , informed the GM.
He hailed officers and coal miners both on roll and on contract who
worked hard for achieving the feat .
" We worked hard under guidance of our CMD and directors who showed us
the path and we achieved the goal", added Mohapatra .He also praised
the management of Indu projects that too worked hard for achieving the goal.
A cake cutting function was organised to celebrate the achievement at
the project office today. In addition sweets were distributed among
workers to commemorate the occasion.
