On the 400th birth anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur ji, the members of the All India Sikh Students Federation offered ardas at the feet of Guru Granth Sahib at SakchiGurdwara Sahib and congratulated the Sangat on the occasion of Prakash Purb.
On the occasion, East India President of All India Sikh Students Federation Satnam Singh Gambhir said Aurangzeb appointed Sher Afghan Khan as the governor of Kashmir for the annihilation of Sanatan culture and the swords of Sher Afghan Khan started tearing Kashmiri Hindus. The decree was clear, accept Islam or die. When no voice was raised for Kashmiris, in 1675, a Kashmiri PanditKripa Ram went to Guru Tegh Bahadur ji, when Guruji heard his plight, he was in agony. He sent a message to the Pandits at the hands of Aurangzeb, “First get me to accept Islam, then Kashmiri Pandits will themselves accept Islam. When Aurangzeb received this message, he sent a decree to Guru Tegh Bahadur to be present in the Delhi court. Aurangzeb said you have only two ways, torture or circumcision.
When Guru Sahib refused circumcision, Aurangzeb was imprisoned and began to suffer severe torture. For Kashmiri Hindus, Guru Sahib accepted all the tortures laughingly but did not budge. Finally, on November 11, 1675, Guru Tegh Bahadur ji was beheaded at ChandniChowk in Delhi, it was Kashmiri Pandits. During this many members including Gurvinder Singh, Harpreet Singh Rikhraj, Baljit Singh Sansoa, Inder Singh Inder, Manjit Singh, Manpreet Singh, Jaspal Singh, Amarjit Singh, Inderpal Singh Bhatia and Avtar Singh were present.
