The Chandulal Chandrakar Memorial Government Medical College has reported zero admission for the last four years, BJP spokesperson Devlal Thakur said on Saturday.
He alleged that the Congress government acquired the college at Rs 278 crores instead of paying Rs 139 crores. The Assembly was given wrong information on its operational status.
There has been no admission since 2017 as no counseling has been held for admission, he added.
He pointed out that in the current academic session (2022-23) also, no inspection was conducted on time, denying the college the recognition to run the courses.
He pointed out that the private operators of the college before acquisition had taken a loan of more than Rs 150 crores by mortgaging government land in violation of the rules. Still the college was acquired without paying the bank loan.
Thakur said the assessing officers had mentioned that there was a personal loan on it and the liabilities of the management were Rs 245 crore. The acquisition amounts to corruption, he added.
