Air Force Station, Chandigarh, in association with the Union Territory Chandigarh administration will organise an air show for more than one hour at Sukhna Lake on October 6 and October 8. Regarding this, the second coordination meeting was conducted under the Chairmanship of Dharam Pal, UT Adviser at UT secretariat on Monday. A team of senior officers of Air Force and the Chandigarh Administration were present during the meeting.
According to UT officials, a presentation about entire event was given by Chief Coordination Officer of Air Force Day Parade Group Captain Kapil GuIiyani. It was brought out that Air Show will be conducted for more than one hour on October 6 and 8 which will include advance fighters, transport aircraft, helicopters and Suryakiran aerobatics team.
He further said that before commencement of the Air show,a half an hour programme will be conducted by Akashganga Paratrooper team. After the meeting the whole team visited the Sukhna lake site physically to work out finer details and modalities. “The aim is to ensure that more people watch the air show and learn about IAF’s combat capabilities,” an official said.
