The three boy inmates of the Boy's Home called Vatsalya Dham in Daltonganj, under the financial control of the state social welfare department, who escaped on Friday late afternoon have neither been traced, tracked nor restored to the Home till the report last came in today.
One of them used to sweep the floor of the coach and bogies of the trains. The other was disowned by his mother following her second marriage. The next other was having two sisters and thus his mouth was big and extra to feed and hence all three were put up in this Home.
A point to be remembered here. These three or this Home is not for the juveniles in conflict with law. These three are just children of lesser gods.
Superintendent of Home Shyam Babu said these three had come to the Home in three different months: July, September and October. But these three escaped together on Friday.
Shyam Babu said "I have given a written intimation about their escape right on Friday itself to the town police station Daltonganj."
Sub divisional police officer Surjit Kumar said police are investigating the escape and also alerted its police stations to be on guard against any of the three walking down in nervousness or distress.
Sources said escape by inmates from the reformatory dwelling here in Daltonganj is a very common thing. Major escapes take place ahead of celebrations like Rakchha Bandhan, Holi etc.
