Under Gamak series of performances 'Thumri Gayan' by Vinod Mishra, Satna and 'Kathak' dance based on Thumri by Sanyukta Sharma, Satna was broadcasted on the Department's YouTube channel here on Saturday.
The presentation started with 'Thumri Gayan' by Vinod Mishra. He began with raga - Peelu - Tum Radhe Bano Shyam followed by Thumri - Saiyan Bina Ghar Suna based on Raag Pahari and Thumri - Sajan Mora Chhod based on Raga Mishra Bhairavi Gai Ram gave a beautiful presentation.
In the presentation, Vinod Mishra was accompanied by Ramanand Tiwari in vocals, Ramanand Tiwari on harmonium- Ayush Mishra and Richa Pandey as co-singer.
In Thumri based Kathak dance, Sanyukta Sharma first performed on Raga Tilak Kamod based- Neer Bharan Kaisi Jau Sakhi Ab, based on Raga Bihari- Kaise Gujaroon Saari Rain and traditional Kajri- Sawan Jhar Lagi, La Dheere Dheere.
Vinod Mishra received his primary education in music from his father Shri PP Mishra, after which he took formal education of music from Jayshree Mishra of Banaras and Rajkishore Mishra of Rewa. MA in Music After completing the national scholarship, he got the formal education of Dhrupad singing from the world famous Dhrupad singer Ustad Ziafriduddin Dagar Sahib at Dhrupad Center Bhopal, at present, he is getting formal education in singing Khayal and Thumri from International singer Pt. Ajay Pohankar.
He got the state's first prize in the Inter-University Youth Festival and a national scholarship for Dhrupad singing. He has given successful presentation in many respected forums of the country.
