The festival of Indian classical music “Tansen Samaroh” will be held in city from Saturday.
It is to be noted that the a grand and attractive stage will be set on the theme of Siddhanath temple located in Omkareshwar. The historical monument of Indian architecture will be displayed in the background of the main stage of the Tansen festival organized every year in the memory of the Sangeet Emperor Tansen by Ustad Alauddin's Sangeet Kala Akademi and Madhya Pradesh Sanskriti Parishad attached to the Culture Department of the State Government.
Architectural point of view, the Siddhanath temple is quite impressive. This temple is situated in the plateau part of an island in Omkareshwar, the city of Lord Bhole. It is supported by a huge platform. Around which the sculptures of many elephants in different postures are beautifully sculpted.
On the eve of Tansen Samaroh, a sub-classical music program Poorrang “Gamak” will be organized at INTAK ground near Hazira Square.
On Sunday, Harikatha, Milad, Shehnai playing and Chadarposhi will be held at Tansen Samadhi site under the Tansen ceremony. On same day, the Tansen inauguration ceremony and the first Sangeet Sabha will be held. There will be a total of 9 Sangeet Sabhas in this year's event.
The first seven concerts will be held in the mausoleum of Sur Emperor Tansen and the mausoleum of Mohammad Ghaus on a grand and attractive stage.
The eighth meeting of the ceremony will be held on Minday at Behat, the birthplace of Sur Emperor Tansen, on the banks of the Jhilmil river and the ninth and last brief concert will be held at Gwalior Fort.
