One held with 100 kg cannabis in Bastar

Chhattisgarh Police on Sunday seized 100 kg of cannabis valued at Rs 7 lakhs and arrested a man in Bastar district who was transporting it from Odisha to Chhattisgarh.

Bastar Superintendent of Police Jitendra Singh Meena told The Pioneer over telephone that Nanda Khora (30) of Odisha was arrested. His accomplice escaped.

Acting on a specific tip, police intercepted two motorcycles in the Bodhghat police station limits. The cannabis was packed in gunny bags.
