Thirteen students of DPS Bokaro performed exceptionally in the International Mathematics Olympiad (IMO)- 2020-21; secured International Rank 1 and 2 under various categories of Classes I to XII, the results of which were declared last evening by Science Olympiad Foundation(SOF), New Delhi.
Eight students, including Jigyasa Raj of Class II, Roshandeep Prakash, Aarna Bharadwaj, Aaheli Mahato, Shaurya , Shambhavi Anand of Class IV, Kunal Anand of Class VI and Aditya Ratna Jha of Class VIII secured the International Rank 1 while five students, including Aarifah Fatha of Class II, Anwita Yadav of Class IV, Yanvi Barnwal of Class V, Nirwan of Class VI and Kumar Anmol of Class VII got the International Rank 2 and thus gave the historical performance.
The International Mathematics Olympiad (IMO) is a Maths competition for students of class I - XII. It is conducted by SOF with the aim of identifying and nurturing future scientists, technologists and IT talent at school level.
Expressing pleasure over the remarkable performance of the students, Principal DPS Bokaro, A.S. Gangwar said, “It is a matter of pride for all of us to have got such a remarkable result in the IMO. The hard work of the students and the teachers has paid off the best results. I wish the students all the best for the future.”
