Valuables worth Rs 2.5 lakh were stolen by domestic help Bhumika Residency under Kolar police station area; allegedly victim’s domestic help escaped with valuables.
Police said that the victim Vikas Patodi had gone to March 8 along with his family had gone to Udaipur and when he returned gold jewelry worth Rs 2.5 lakh was found stolen.
A complaint was lodged with the police by the victim in which the victim stated that they left the house on March 8 and before leaving he kept the jewelry in a cardboard box kept in which waste papers were kept, the family returned but the victim failed to take jewelry from the box and later when he remember he searched for the box but it was not in the house. On asking his wife regarding box she revealed that she had provided the box to their domestic help. Later domestic help was questioned but she expressed ignorance over jewelry after which victim lodged complaint.
Based on the complaint after the preliminary investigation the police have registered a case under sections 380 of the IPC and have started further investigation.Meanwhile, MP Nagar police have booked a miscreant, who duped victim to the tune of Rs 45000 in the name of selling scooter over OLX website in MP Nagar zone 1; police have registered case on Thursday.
The victim Manoj Solanki was duped after he contacted identified accused who offered to sell scooter at Rs 45000 who accepted payment but never provided scooter.Accused posed as Army Officer and asked to deposit money as he would not be able to visit Bhopal and would transport scooter on desired address.Based on the complaint after the preliminary investigation, the police registered of fraud and section of IT act and during the investigation details of bank account, OLX account and mobile numbers used in the fraud weresearched.
