The wanted fraudster Champu Ajmera was arrested on Friday by Indore Crime Branch police. He was absconding in 15 cases which are registered in four different police stations of Indore. They are Lasudia, Tejaji Nagar, Banganga and Tukoganj.
The cases of forgery are registered at Kalindi gold city, satellite hills colony, phoneix township. Champu Ajmera had been living in Nepal and border of Uttar Pradesh during his absconding period.
The fraudster Champu Ajmera has taken crores of rupees from people in the name of selling them plots in different colonies but he never gave the possession to the plot holders.
The wanted fraudster and criminal Champu alias Ritesh Ajmera was caught when he was returing from Ujjain to Indore in his Toyata fortuner car number MP09 WA 2930. Champu Ajmera was absconding after the Indore police started a drive against the land mafias and fraudsters involved in land dealings and real estate business.
It is to be noted that Indore is the business capital of Madhya Pradesh and a fast-growing metropolitan city of MP and in the last few years, there has been a boom in real estate business.
Thousands of colonies have come up in entire Indore district. According to sources, land mafias have also entered in this real estate business who act as the negotiator between the seller and purchaser of the land.
IG, Indore range, Vivek Sharma, and DIG Indore Harinarayanchari Mishra had instructed SP headquarters Indore Suraj Verma and SP Crime Indore Rajesh Dandotiya to catch absconding criminals, land mafias and fraudster Champu Ajmera who carried a reward of Rs 30,000 on his head which was announced by Indore police.
