In a bid to contain the spread of Covid-19, the Outpatient Departments (OPDs) of two Government hospitals, the MKCG Medical College Hospital at Brahmapur and the Malkangiri District Headquarters Hospital (DHH), have been sealed.
At the MKCG Hospital, only referral and emergency cases would be admitted. The main gate of the campus would be guarded by police personnel. Only emergency patients and staffs would be allowed to enter the campus, an official order said.
Except for the main entrance, all other entrances of the MKCG Hospital would be closed with barricading. Only one attendant per patient would be allowed, the order added.
Similarly, the OPD and the IPD of the Malkangiri DHH have also been sealed due to detection of a Covid-19 case at the hospital.
