Cong protests against increase in Petrol, diesel, LPG prices at Gandhi square

On Tuesday, Congress leaders along with NSUI protested at the Gandhi square over the increase in petrol-diesel and LPG prices. The Congress made tea over stove at the Gandhi square.

During this time, activists shouted slogans and burnt two effigies of the Prime Minister one after the other. The police personnel present stopped the effigy from burning, during which there was a clash between the Congress leaders and the police.

On Tuesday, NSUI student leaders and Congress workers gathered at the Gandhi Square.  He made a stove and made tea and performed it.  During this time, activists should burn effigies from the Congress office and burn them shouting slogans. 

After some time, the second effigy was also burnt by the activists.  Police attempted to extinguish the burning effigy. This led to a tussle between the Congress workers and the police about the effigy.

NSUI District President Sunil Baser said that at the center when it was UPA government, petrol was at Rs 70 per liter and domestic cooking gas cylinder at  Rs 400 and at that time BJP leaders used to protest.

Today, petrol is at Rs 92 per litre while domestic cooking gas cylinder is Rs 720, but BJP leaders are silent.  The people of the country have been deceived.  Several Congress workers, including District Congress President Navakrishna Patil, State General Secretary Mahendra Singh Gurjar, Women District President Babit Singh Tomar, Raghavendra Singh Tomar, Somil Nahata, were present on the occasion.
