While vindicating the famous slogan ‘Jai Jawan Jai Kisan’ Governor Doupadi Murmu handed over excellence award to 40th Battalion of Indo-Tibet Border Police, Ranchi at ‘Agrotech Kisan Mela’ organised by Birsa Agriculture University (BAU) in Ranchi, for its excellent performance in the field of horticulture.
Commandant of the battalion, Dinesh Kumar said, the battalion has developed a big orchard on the premises of the ITBP Camp with a large numbers of plants of vegetables, fruits and a very beautiful garden of flower. “We produce a large quantity of flowers and with these flowers we manufacture bucket of flowers. We also produce a sufficient quantity of vegetables for ourselves as we don’t consume vegetables from outside,” he added.
SAIL Ranchi units at Ispat Bhawan on Tuesday, honored the victorious gardening team in the 2019 Kisan Mela at Birsa Agricultural University. In this exhibition, SAIL won the first prize in four different categories ‘Flory Band’, Fern, Antranium and Samiya and Second Prize in six other sections Gulab Brihat, Gulab Miniature, Gulab Common, Dalia, Genda and Seasonal Flowers. Due to such a great performance the organizers conferred a trophy to the SAIL team.
