Man caught by Customs at IGIA for smuggling mobile phones worth Rs 63L

Delhi Customs officials have arrested a man for allegedly trying to smuggle mobile phones, including iPhones, worth Rs 63 lakh into the country, at Indira Gandhi International (IGI) airport in national Capital.

According to a senior Customs official, the accused was intercepted after his arrival from Guangzhou in China on Tuesday.

"His flight was via Colombo. The man was stopped by officials and during search of his baggage and personal resulted in the recovery of 204 illegally imported mobile phones of different brands such as Apple iPhones, Samsung, Sony, BlackBerry," said the senior Customs official.
