The Bhopal ghazal lovers spent a chatming and delightful Saturday evening at Ravindra Bhavan.
Madhya Pradesh Urdu Academy organised the Sham-e-Ghazal at the Ravindra Bhavan. The event was held under Iqbal Samaroh 2019.
Sham e Ghazal began in the packed hall of Ravindra Bhavan. The chief guest of the event was Deputy Secretary Culture Pragya Awasthi.
Urdu Academy Secretary Hisam Uddin Farooq and Pragya Awasthi welcomed Ustad Mohammed Hussain Ahmed Hussain from Jaipur. The two also welcomed all the poets including Nafees Ahmed, Mahesh Malik, Prakash Rizharia and Arif Latif.
Initially operating, Samina Ali spoke to Allama Iqbal's Kalam and his association with Bhopal. She read Allama Iqbal's Urdu poetry, Hai Ram ke wajood oe Hindustan ko naaz, Pehle nazar samajhte hain usko Imam Hind.
After this, Mohammad Hussain Ahmad Hussain started the tuneful evening with Allama Iqbal's Ghazal.Kabhi hai Hakiatein MuntazarNazar aa libaas e mazaj meinKe hazaron sajde tadap rahien hain, Meri jibini niaz mein.
Mohammad Hussain said that he has a long standing relationship with Bhopal. This is the city of Ahle Sukhan. People here understand poetry and literature and give a lot of love to artists.
Coming to this city and living in a clean city is something else.
Then he recited ghazal composed by Wajid Ali Shah. Illahi koi hawa ka jhonka dikha de, uda de aanchal. He performed another ghazal, 'Chal mere saath hi chal, aye meri jaan e ghazal'. The evening was much enjoyed by the ghazal lovers as they appreciated every bit of it.
