Madhya Pradesh Police have been honored with national level award.
FICCI (Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industries) has given awards to Madhya Pradesh Police in four categories of Smart Policing Awards – 2019 during two-day ceremony held at FICCI Auditorium on Tansen Marg in New Delhi, on Friday, Union Minister of State Jitendra Singh presented awards to ADG Crime against Women Anvesh Mangalam, ADG Telecommunication Upendra Jain, IG CID D Srinivasa Verma and Superintendent of Police Head Quarter Indore Suraj Kumar Verma.
These awards have been received by the state government for the promotion of police modernization and the successful innovations made by the Madhya Pradesh Police in the field of smart policing under the leadership of DGP Vijay Kumar Singh. These are highly coveted national level awards. Those are widely recognized in industry and professional circles.
Awards were in the category crime control related to women and children, State's 'identified crime' scheme, SCMRC (Safe City Monitoring Response Center) FICCI has awarded award for the strong mechanism created by Madhya Pradesh Police to punish criminals who sexually harass women and children.
The second category in which Madhya Pradesh police won was Smart Policing Award for the vehicle investigation portal of SCMRC Bhopal and Police Telecom.
