"Sharp Objects" star Chris Messina has boarded the cast of thriller "I Care a Lot".
Starring Rosamund Pike and Peter Dinklage in the lead, the film will be directed by J Blakeson from his own script, reported Variety.
Pike will be essaying the role of Marla Grayson, a highly successful legal guardian with a knack for using the law to her benefit and her clients' detriment. But when she cherry picks her seemingly perfect client, she soon realises looks are deceiving.
Dinklage, who was most recently seen in the finale season of hit HBO series "Game of Thrones", will be portraying a gangster in the movie.
Messina will take on the role of a lawyer who represents Dinklage's character.
The project is backed by Teddy Schwarzman's Black Bear and Blakeson's Sugar November.
Schwarzman, Ben Stillman, Michael Heimler and Blakeson will serve as producers, while Sacha Guttenstein will be executive producing.
Messina will be next seen in Warner Bros' "Birds of Prey" movie, opposite Margot Robbie and Ewan McGregor. He also has projects such as "The Secrets We Keep", "Dark Cargo" and "Mainstream" in his kitty.
