To cater to the needs of lovers of philately and general public, a Philatelic Bureau, Bhubaneswar with upgraded facilities was inaugurated at the Chief PMG office here on Monday.
Chief guest Board of Revenue Member GVV Sarma inaugurated the upgraded Philatelic Bureau in the presence of Chief Post Master General, Odisha Circle Santosh Kumar Kamila, retired IAS officer DN Padhi, PMG, Berhampur Region Col J Kanhar and PMG Sambalpur Region l Pradhan.
The upgraded bureau would have neat and clean environment with AC facility and sitting arrangement for the customers, philatelists, stamp collectors, a ‘My Stamp Counter’ facility, display of philatelic exhibits of philatelists, new released Commemorative Postage Stamps, Miniatures, Special Covers, Booklets and others and information about various philatelic activities organised by the Odisha Postal Circle.
On the occasion, two paintings on “Evolution of Postal Service” and “Odisha in Philately” were also unveiled by the guests.
