Amid the ongoing controversy over political conspiracy behind violent Jat agitation 2016 in Haryana, former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Thursday refuted allegations made by the BJP leaders that he incited violence during the reservation stir.
“The matter is subjudice and truth will come out …” said Hooda, while talking to the mediapersons here.
Hitting back at the BJP leaders, Hooda said, “God forgive them. They do not know themselves what they are doing and saying.”
Finance Minister Capt Abhimanyu and other cabinet ministers had targeted Hooda after the CBI filed charge-sheet in the case of violence, arson and loot that took place in Rohtak during February 2016.
Capt. Abhimanyu had alleged that names mentioned in the charge-sheet were clearly associated with Bhupinder Singh Hooda, and violence had been planned to fail the present State Government.
On the other hand, Hooda’s arch rival, Haryana Congress chief Ashok Tanwar had alleged that the persons who attacked him in New Delhi in October 2016 appeared to be the same who are accused of vandalism at Capt Abhimanyu’s house during Jat agitation.
Reacting to the statements of Capt. Abhimanyu and Tanwar, Hooda taunted them with a couplet, “Apni shakhsiyat ki kya misaal du, na jane kitne mashhoor ho gaye mujhe badnaam karte huye.”
When asked about his differences with Ashok Tanwar, the two-time former Chief Minister denied having a tussle with anyone in the party.
Reacting to the reports that MlAs close to him have demanded change in state leadership, Hooda said that the party high command will decide on the matter.
