The body of four-year-old child was on Thursday found at Ekant Park nullah after two days of intensive search by around 400 rescue workers. The kid had swept under heavy water current in then nullah at Panchsheel Nagar on Tuesday.
The body of Duggu alias Bhagya was found at around 9 am at Ekant Park area which was round half a kilometer where the boy swept.
The incident took place on Tuesday at around 11 am when the kid boy while playing near his house and close to the nullah in Panchsheel Nagar and while playing swept in the heavy rainfall.
On receiving the information a Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC) team was rushed to the spot but failed to find the kid and later teams of NDRF and SDERF were also roped in to continue the rescue operations.
The rescue work till Thursday morning did not yielded result. The body was handed over to the family members for the last rites.
Meanwhile, late in the evening on Wednesday kid’s father Rohit tried to commit suicide by consuming excessive pills of pain killers alleging BMC for the incident.
The BMC would provide house under the housing for all scheme and a compensation of Rs 1 lakh. Mayor Alok Sharma said that loss of life cannot be compensated but will ensure that the family receives a house under housing for all schemes and a compensation of Rs 1 lakh and would recommended for a financial assistance of Rs 4 lakh from district collector.
