MOB BARGES INTO SCHOOl FUNCTION STAGING  DANCE

Ratlam:A mob barged into the annual day function of a private school today and disrupted a student's dance performance on the Ghoomar song from the film Padmaavat.A child and a parent were injured in the incident which happened in a school in Jaora, about 42 kilometres from Ratlam. MPS Parihar, station in-charge of Jaora police station said, "Nearly 15-20 persons barged into the school premises where as part of its annual day function, Ghoomar dance from the film Padmaavat was being staged by a young student. The mob threw chairs, caused panic among the audience, disrupted the function and then fled the venue.”He said investigations were underway to check whether they belonged to the Karni Sena which has been opposing the movie. Police were in the process of registering a case, he added.

SIXTY PERSONS ARRESTED FOR STAGING ROAD BlOCKADE

Indore:Sixty persons, including a local Congress MlA Jitu Patwari, were arrested here today for staging a road blockade at Palda square to protest water issues in the area.Sub divisional magistrate (SDM) Sandeep Soni told that MlA from Rau, Jitu Patwari and others, including five women, were arrested for disrupting peace in the Palda area. They were later sent to jail.According to eyewitnesses, Patwari along with his supporters staged a road blockade in protest against the water crisis and filth strewn in the area, demanding that top civic officials come to the spot to discuss the matter with them.The protestors were arrested and sent to the district jail after police requests to lift the blockade went unheeded. While being transported in a bus to jail, the protesters created a ruckus snatching the bus' keys and also deflating its tyres, police said. Another bus had to be arranged to take them to jail, officials added.

All INDIA ROSE EXHIBITION HElD

Bhopal:Under the aegis of Madhya Pradesh Rose Society, the 37th All India Rose Exhibition was held the other day wherein various garden located within the BHEl Township and factory premises won a number of prizes.In the large category Rose Garden, Berkhera won the Second prize; in the medium category garden located near the Traction Block won the Second prize and in the mini category garden located in BHEl Bhawan won the Second prize where Pratibha Thakur is the mentor.In the cut flower category various park of BHEl won four First prize and five Second prize. Preeti Mishra resident of Alkapuri won the First Prize and Best Trophy in the small category. In the same category Charul Pagariya, GP Patel, Sangeeta Deota and Annapurna won the First prize. Nehru Gulab Udayan has been opened for the general public for enjoying the beauty of the park.

EYE DONATED TO SADAN EYE HOSPITAl

Bhopal:Eyes of 23-year-old late Mahima Jain have been donated to Sewa Sadan Eye Hospital by her brother Atul Jain. A resident of Jehangirabad Bhopal, late Mahima Jain had died on January 13. With this donation, two blind persons would now get the eyesight. For the sake of two visually impaired persons, brother of the deceased took this decision. Cause of death was cardiac arrest and respiratory failure.As many as 1,517 free cornea transplantations have so far been performed in Sewa Sadan Eye Hospital. Trustee lC Janiyani paid homage to the departed soul and expressed gratitude to the family members for this donation.

NEUROSURGERY TO START AT JAIPRAKASH HOSPITAl

Bhopal:Neurosurgery services have been started in Jai Prakash hospital of Bhopal to facilitate patients suffering from brain disorder. The medical examination related to brain injury, brain tumor, brain hemorrhage, paralysis beside other diseases will be conducted and treatment will be given by the Neurosurgeon Dr Yogesh Tiwari. He will examine the patients every Tuesday and Thursday in the OPD of the hospital and conduct the surgery every Monday and Wednesday. Children, who visit DEIC will be examined once a week.Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr Sudhir Jesani informed that along with beginning of neurosurgery OPD in J.P. Hospital, neurosurgery of identified children up to 18 years of age, who are suffering from neural tube defect and other surgeries will also be carried out free of cost under the National Child Health Programme. After the approval, model costing amount will be provided to the civil surgeon in this connection.Similarly, the surgery of people living below the poverty line will be conducted free of cost under the State Illness Assistance Fund Package. Charges for surgery of patients living above the poverty line will be determined by the Patients Welfare Committee.

SWAROZGAR YOJNA PROVIDES lIVElIHOOD TO SC IN BHIND

Bhopal:Mukhya Mantri Swarozgar Yojana has become a strong medium of means of livelihood for Brijendra, Narendra, Shivkumar, Sonelal and Surendra belonging to Scheduled Caste in Bhind district. Brijendra Dhanuk, Narendra Jatav, residents of Ratanpura, Shivkumar Kori, resident of ward no. 11 Rekhanagar Bhind, Sonelal Khatik resident Itawa Road Bhind and Surendra Jatav resident of Bheemnagar Bhind were wandering here and there for job. They got the information that it is possible to acquire loan under Mukhya Mantri Swarozgar Yojana from the Antyavasayi office for autorickshaw, auto loading and e-rickshaw. Then they presented their applications at the district antyavasayi office.Brijendra and Narendra got their loan approved by the District Antyavasayi Sahakari Vikas Samiti for autorickshaw, Shivkumar for loading auto and Sonelal and Surendra for e-rickshaw.
