State Urban Development Agency (SUDA) has sanctioned Rs 4.23 crore for construction of private toilets in 6 Municipal Councils and 9 Nagar Panchayats, under Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, an official press release informed on Saturday.
SUDA has sanctioned Rs 85.15 lakh to Balodabazar Municipal Council, Rs 50 lakh to Narayanpur Municipal Council, Rs 44.25 lakh to Mahasamund Municipal Council, Rs 15 lakh to Aarang Municipal Council, Rs 12.70 lakh to Balod Municipal Council, Rs 10 lakh to Champa Municipal Council, Rs 54 lakh to Nagar Panchayat Kotba, Rs 40 lakh to Nagar Panchayat Magarlod, Rs 20 lakhs each to Utai, Bilha, Gaurela and Dabhra, Rs 12 lakh to Bhanupratappur and Rs 10 lakhs each to Nagar Panchayat Bhatgaon and Berla.
It is noteworthy that Har Ghar Shauchalay — Har Ghar Nal Yojana is being conducted in urban area under Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.
Nodal Officer for this scheme is District Collector. SUDA sanctions amount for construction of private toilets after receiving permission from District Collector.
