Road Safety Week observed in Bokaro

Road Safety Week observed in Bokaro by several schools and Bokaro Steel Plant’s seafty department under the advocacy campaign for road safety was concluded on Saturday.

Safety Week also observed at DPS, Bokaro. The theme for the Road Safety Week was ‘Road Safety- Time for Action’. Calling on everyone to tune in to the dos and don’ts of road safety, powerful visual learning experience in the form of a power point presentation was displayed to the students through the smart boards in the classrooms.

Group discussion, debate and poster making were organised with the theme ‘Road Safety- Time for Action’. Students also gave speeches on the various issues of road safety during the morning assembly.

We all should follow the basic road safety measures of wearing helmets, seat belt usage and maintaining the speed limit on road, said Dr. Hemlata S. Mohan Director and Principal of the school. “Everyone to learn to use the roads properly and safely”, she urged.

While BSl safety officials stressed on wearing crash helmets while driving bikes on road. NCC cadets and school students urges the bikers to wear helmets.

With the aim to spread traffic awareness among people, the students here held a unique exercise of distributing red roses, garlands and Tilak among people who were found driving without helmets at different chowks across the city.
