Talcher BJD MlA Braja Pradhan was in trouble on Friday as printouts of a WhatsApp chatting alleged that he asked a teenage college girl to sleep with him if she wanted her father to get a job.
The chat was reportedly done between a WhatsApp account in the name of the MlA and that of the young girl. The printouts of the chat were pasted at many places in the town.
The printouts showed that the MlA bluntly tells the girl; “Jadi tame mo sangare gote night biteiba tahale mu tomora bapanku chakiri debi” (If you spend a night with me, I will give a job to your father).
When the girl points out that she is young enough as his daughter, the MlA writes; “Kan asubidha kiIJ” (“What’s the problemIJ”)
The MlA, however, refuted the charges and claimed that he did not talk to any young girl on WhatsApp.
“This is a political conspiracy. People with evil intention are trying to defame me. My party activists have lodged an FIR,” Pradhan told reporters.
